Buzzy Seattle-based pop-rock quartet THEM has released their latest single “Confused and Upset” today. Capturing the journey of self-discovery, the song follows along with a protagonist who struggles with conflicting emotions and the realization that a relationship shouldn’t define her happiness.
Drawing inspiration from artists like Claire Rosinkranz and Olivia Rodrigo, the bubbly and bouncy instrumentation pairs seamlessly with lyrics that resonate with anyone who has navigated the rollercoaster of teenage love. With its infectious energy, “Confused and Upset” encourages listeners to prioritize friendship and self-care, dancing along to its irresistible beat while embracing the freedom to be unapologetically themselves.
Today’s release is also backed up with the announcement from the all-girl pop-rockers that their forthcoming EP Girl’s Mind will be released June 28 via VERSION III.
Aging between 18-22, Thompson, Hudson, Ellie, and Maia (their initials spelling out the name of the band) started in the basement of their local music school but are just getting started on taking over the genre of pop music. In just a few short years since their debut single “Bad 4 U”, the band has performed at every major Seattle venue and festival including The Paramount Theatre, Capitol Hill Block Party, Bumbershoot Music Festival and atop the Space Needle.
