Nearly a year ago Ottawa rock quintet BEARINGS made their label debut with the release of their EP called Nothing Here Is Permanent. Following a breakout year with relentless touring and incredible reaction from fans and critics, the band will return this fall to release their first full-length record, Blue In The Dark, on October 12th with Pure Noise Records.

Today, Bearings have revealed the first single, “Aforementioned,” from Blue In The Dark via a music video which can be seen now below.
“Sometimes it takes a couple rough nights to appreciate what and who you have in your life. Aforementioned is a reflection on the worst and best nights of this past year. You can’t have the ups without the downs and that’s something I’m learning to accept.” – Doug Cousins
On their long-awaited full-length record, Blue In The Dark, Bearings have surpassed high expectations with an album that maintains their signature style while pushing beyond anything they’ve done before.
“We went in with the plan of writing a dynamic record and I think we did that. I’ve always loved bands like Jimmy Eat World for not being afraid to try and write a record without boundaries musically. Myself and the guys wanted to replicate that attitude and approach to the writing of the record.” – Doug Cousins
