Brooklyn-based producer Slug Father makes a groovy return on his latest single “How Ya Feel” via Casablanca Sunset Records.
Embodied with swagger, “How Ya Feel” kicks off with a lively bass line complemented by funky club rhythm, bright groovy guitar chords and rhythmic dance textures. The song is a dancefloor weapon mixed for DJ sets and mastered for the mainstage. “How Ya Feel” is Slug Father at his finest.
The single is a follow up to Slug Father’s celebrated single “Think Of U,” which was released earlier this year on Casablanca Sunset Records. “Think Of U” peaked at #1 on the Hype Machine popular charts and is currently featured in Spotify’s “Feelgood Indie” playlist.
Slug Father is the production project of Brooklyn-based artist Lucas Feigenbaum. His effortless musical style is defined by a penchant for funky feel-good melodies and captivating midtempo dancefloor rhythms. The emerging producer also received a nod from house music heavyweights Disclosure in October after his single “Keep On” was featured in the duo’s BBC Radio 1 Residency Mix.
In addition to his Slug Father endeavors, the buzzing producer also launched a new musical project with counterpart Zach Britt (Hundreds Thousands) earlier this year called Supertaste. Together the indie-funk tandem released their debut ‘Breakup Disco EP’ in June. The release received praise from a variety of disco and indie-pop champions including The Knocks, Washed Out, Goldroom and the legendary Parisian label imprint Kitsune. More to come in 2021.
