yetep has returned to the Lost In Dreams imprint with his first solo single “Lullaby” featuring award-winning singer-songwriter David Frank.
In a time when a persistent cloud of uncertainty continues to stubbornly blot out the sun, yetep is here to offer some much-needed inner tranquility with his latest creation. The soothing state of mind induced by the aptly titled “Lullaby” was conceived by grand design. It’s a gesture of solace being offered to the masses, due in no small part to the gracious vocal delivery offered up by fellow Angeleno David Frank. Together, this pairing takes it upon themselves to drown out the world’s worries with a ray of positivity in music form. Frank’s consoling vocal croons carry a pacifying characteristic, which is amplified to the sky by the delightful production yetep wraps around his siren-like delivery. Wistful piano keys, angelic harmonies, mellow guitar licks and sailing synth arrangements become the building blocks for the safe haven these beams of light create for Lost In Dreams.
“When I first heard David’s version of ‘lullaby,’ it brought back a nostalgic feeling that made me fall in love with electronic music,” says yetep. “Not many people know, but I got into electronic music because of Swedish House Mafia, so a lot of my influences for the song came from them. I didn’t want to take anything away from David’s beautiful voice, so I made sure this was a vocal-driven track, released on a label that would embody the true meaning of it perfectly.”
David adds on with a breakdown of the meaning behind the song: “It’s that feeling you get when things start to fall into place. Your calling is a lullaby, it serenades you to the next chapter in life. This is my first release with Insomniac, and I’m grateful they picked up the song!”
