Asher Monroe has released his introspective new studio album, Windows of Time today. The 8-track LP is a journey of songs about never giving up and living life without fear, spotlighting Asher’s maturity not only as a singer, songwriter and producer, but also as a husband and father. Stream the album now below.
Produced by Walter Afanasieff (Mariah Carey, Luther Vandross, Barbra Streisand, Gary Barlow), Windows of Time is packed with hushed drama, rich instrumentation, and colossal choruses. The album was written over a span of three months while Asher was in Croatia, locking away his phone, reading the Old Testament, and jumping into the sea every day, allowing himself to act as a channel for whatever inspiration came. The result is a soul-baring reflection of songs that open a new chapter for Asher as he focuses on storytelling and opens his heart in a way he never has before.
For the multi-talented artist, performing has always been where he belongs. Since launching his solo career, Asher has graced the cover of Billboard, released two full-length albums, and collaborated with an array of artists such as Ryan Tedder, Akon, and Sean Kingston. He has also charted Top 10 on the Billboard Dance Charts with singles “Here With You” (co-written with Tedder) and “Hush Hush,” and garnered media praise from the likes of Forbes, HuffPost, Us Weekly, MTV, Seventeen, 1883 Magazine, Hollywood Life, and PopDust. Beyond his passion for music, Asher has built a multifaceted career as a talented actor both on screen and on stage. His debut film role in the 2009 remake of the 80s classic FAME brought him into the public eye and led to prime time roles on NBC’s Parenthood and CBS’s The Mentalist. Fusing his love of acting and music together, Asher has also starred in an extensive run on Broadway, performing in classic shows including Beauty and the Beast, Sound of Music and Oliver.
