Futuristic has released his genre-bending new single, “Hate Me Now” featuring Ryan Oakes today. The track continues to blur the lines between rock and hip-hop with Oakes’ rap verse, guitar-driven production and live drums, as well as the heaviest breakdown in a Futuristic track yet. The track is taken from Futuristic’s upcoming album Never Too Late, out later this year.
“I’ve always struggled with letting people especially women go lol,” shares Futuristic. “Even when I knew it was long overdue, instead of just ending it I would get distant so hopefully they would break up with me but they never did haha. So ‘Hate Me Now’ is a perfect song for that feeling you get right before you end it with someone you care about & you feel like they’re going to hate you.”
Futuristic is set to perform his new songs on the road this fall. He recently kicked off a series of shows supporting Ekoh on the 21st Century Meltdown Tour, and will be joining Loveless as part of their sold out run The Debut Live Experience later this month.
