March is always one of the busiest months for concerts in Colorado, as it seems that all winter and spring tours make their stop in Denver this month. This year is no exception. With shows selling out all over the state right now (you’re one of the lucky ones if you snagged tickets to 3OH!3’s shows in Boulder or Fort Collins) we have decided to highlight some of the great concerts that you still have a chance to get some tickets for. Be warned though: most of these will eventually sell out, too. From Skinny Lister to Architects to Matt and Kim, there is a wide variety of incredible shows in Colorado this month that you won’t want to miss!
Who do you think we should check out this month? Let us know in the comments!
3/3 – Skinny Lister @ The Bluebird Theater
What better way to kick off a new month of great shows than with Skinny Lister at the intimate Bluebird Theater? The band not only puts on a spectacular live performance, but they are also masters of encouraging crowd participation, be it by passing around a flagon of rum, crowd-surfing to the bar and back or dancing with fans. This show promises to keep you warm despite how cold it might be outside, and it’ll be great from start to finish, with Colorado locals One Flew West opening the show, followed by Will Varley.
3/5 – Theo Katzman @ Lost Lake Lounge
You might recognize Theo Katzman from wildly popular funk band, Vulfpeck, but if you’re looking for something a little more low-key and intimate than the band’s upcoming Red Rocks performance this summer, then you should catch him when he’s in Denver this month at the tiny Lost Lake Lounge.
3/10 – Marmozets @ Globe Hall
When Marmozets first broke out in the U.S. on the Vans Warped Tour in 2014, it came as no surprise, and their most recent release, Knowing What You Know Now is sure to launch them even further into success stateside. Known for the wild live performances and incredibly unique sound, the band is sure to put on one hell of a performance on the tiny stage at Denver’s Globe Hall this March.
3/11 – Architects @ Summit Music Hall
Architects are currently out on the road stateside in support of their most recent album, All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us, following a wildly successful UK tour. The band’s upcoming headliner at Summit Music Hall is easily one of the most talked-about shows this March, and it’s thanks to their incredible live presence and groundbreaking sound. With a stacked lineup consisting of Counterparts and Stick To Your Guns, this show is sure to sell out before March 11th, so grab tickets while you still can.
3/11 – Vinyl Theatre @ The Gothic Theatre
Vinyl Theatre knows what it takes to put on an incredible live show – just ask anyone who caught them when they were in town with Dashboard Confessional last year or their performance at Big Gig in 2016. Co-headlining the show is rising pop artist, Vesperteen with openers I The Victor and Denver locals, This Broken Beat, making it well worth it to show up early and stay late.
3/17 – The Menzingers @ Summit Music Hall
For the second year in a row, The Menzingers will be playing Summit Music Hall on St. Patrick’s Day! Touring in support of last year’s release, After The Party, these guys promise to start the holiday off right, and making it worth showing up early are supporting acts, Brendan Kelly and Bud Bronson & The Good Timers. And if you can get enough of them, The Menzingers will also be performing a short pre-show acoustic set at Ratio Beerworks.
3/23 – Senses Fail @ Summit Music Hall
Senses Fail just released their highly anticipated new album, If There Is Light, It Will Find You and will be celebrating with a run of shows with Reggie and the Full Effect, Have Mercy and Household. Known for their high energy live performances and emotionally powerful songs, Senses Fail will certainly put on one hell of a show this month.
3/24 – The Hunna @ The Marquis Theater
If you haven’t hopped on The Hunna train yet and are looking for some good new music to check out, then stop by The Marquis on the 24th for a stacked show. Joining the UK quartet are courtship., who recently opened up for Passion Pit at The Ogden, and Coasts.
3/28 – Emo Nite @ The Marquis Theater
Do we even need to convince you to come out to Emo Nite at this point? Time and time again, they’ve provided nostalgic Denver emo kids with nights to remember, from the emotional event that took place on election night in 2016 to 3OH!3 making a surprise appearance last year. By bringing together people who share the love of emo rock music from the 90’s, 2000’s, and today, Emo Nite has grown into a full-blown phenomenon that has attracted some of the biggest and most diverse names in entertainment. Don’t miss out.
3/29 – Matt and Kim @ The Ogden Theatre
Matt and Kim always put on one hell of a show, but this one is special not only because the duo be performing new music from their upcoming album, Almost Everyday, but it also marks their first Denver show since Kim’s recovery from an onstage injury in 2017. Their shows are always wildly energetic and carefree, but it’s safe to say that this will be a night to remember.
