With the Summer concert season right around the corner, it’s no surprise that there are a ton of incredible shows all over Colorado this month! From intimate local shows to some of the first Red Rocks concerts of the season and some of the biggest up-and-comers playing small stages across the state, April is all about branching out and checking out some new music, and we have quite a few recommendations for you.
Even though we spent the month of March highlighting some of Colorado’s best local artists, there are still a lot of bands and musicians that we weren’t able to feature (and some that we think really deserve your love) so this month, we’ve chosen seven local and seven touring artists to check out! From SKYBURIAL and The Burial Plot at the tiny Seventh Circle Music Collective to Postcards’ return to The Marquis, and The Still Tide and The Solid Ocean‘s EP release shows this month, there is no shortage of local artists playing across the state. Pepper in some of our most anticipated tour stops, like Pale Waves, Dashboard Confessional, Ripe and Hayley Kiyoko, and you’ve got one hell of a month ahead of you!
Who do you think we should check out this month? Let us know in the comments!

This will likely be the last time they’ll be playing such an intimate venue in Colorado, so it’s well worth making it out to this show. Pale Waves are poised to blow up even more before the end of the year.

Do we even have to convince you to go see Dashboard Confessional? Honestly, these guys always deliver an incredibly fun show, whether it’s at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre or alongside Imagine Dragons for Not So Silent Night. The upcoming show at Summit is much more intimate than some of the band’s previous shows in Denver, which means it’ll be a night to remember.

Boston-based seven piece, Ripe will be bringing their energetic blend of soul, funk and jazz to Larimer Lounge this month for a show you’re not going to want to miss.
