With the summer officially starting in June and the concert season already in full swing, there are countless amazing shows coming up in Colorado this month, making it incredibly hard to narrow this list down to just 10 must-see shows.
We’re trying to keep it diverse this month, with a healthy balance between great local shows like Bodies We’ve Buried at Lost Lake and The Trujillo Company at Larimer Lounge, alongside some massive national tours like Coheed and Cambria at The Fillmore Auditorium and Hawthorne Heights and Emery at Summit! With a wide variety of shows coming up, there’s bound to be something that you’ll love in Colorado this month. 6/8 – Bodies We’ve Buried @ Lost Lake Lounge
Start your summer with some of Denver’s finest local music! Metalcore quartet, Bodies We’ve Buried will be taking the stage for the first time in a year on June 8th at Lost Lake, alongside fellow locals, Thoughtpilot, It’s Always Sunny In Tijuana and Conquer Everest. This show promises to be killer from start to finish.
6/10 – LANY @ The Fillmore Auditorium
LANY are currently in the midst of a massive 100-date world tour and will be headlining The Fillmore Auditorium on June 10th alongside Sasha Sloan. With their new single, “okay” featuring Julia Michaels out now and more new music coming soon, LANY are showing no signs of slowing down any time soon and thankfully, their sound is perfect for summer nights.
6/13 – Turvy Organ @ The Hi-Dive
Denver-based alternative/indie rock band Turvy Organ are releasing their sophomore album, The Ghost at the Feast on June 13th and will be celebrating the release with a show at the Hi-Dive the same night! Turvy Organ’s sound is more focused and urgent than ever on the new release, which you can hear for yourself at this upcoming show! Featuring support from Panther Martin and Sour Boy, Bitter Girl, the show promises to be great from the start.
6/13 – Hawthorne Heights & Emery @ Summit
Hawthorne Heights are celebrating the 15th anniversary of their milestone album, The Silence In Black And White alongside Emery, who have hit the same milestone for The Weak’s End, making the pair’s upcoming co-headliner at Summit a must see! Show up early to catch some special performances from Denver locals innerspace and Bluprint as well!
6/14 – CHON @ The Marquis Theater
CHON are currently gearing up to release their self-titled album on June 7th and will be hitting The Marquis Theater only a week later in support of the release! The band is in the midst of an incredibly exciting a busy year so far, following two weekends at Coachella, as well as a performance at Shaky Knees – you don’t want to miss this intimate show at The Marquis!
6/19 – Coheed and Cambria @ The Fillmore Auditorium
Making for easily one of the most stacked lineups all summer, Coheed and Cambria are headlining The Fillmore Auditorium on June 19th alongside Mastodon and Every Time I Die! While Coheed will be touring in support of their recently released album, The Unheavenly Creatures, Mastodon will be performing their renowned Crack the Skye album in its entirety.
6/20 – Slim Cessna’s Auto Club @ The Hi-Dive
Rising from the fertile ground of the Denver country gospel scene is none other than Slim Cessna’s Auto Club, who will be headlining the Hi-Dive this month alongside Kid Congo and the Pink Monkey Birds. Easily one of Colorado’s most exciting and unique acts, you’re not going to want to miss this intimate show on the 20th!
6/21 – blackbear @ The Fillmore Auditorium
If you caught blackbear at his headlining show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre last summer, then you know why his upcoming show at The Fillmore Auditorium is a must-see. With his new album, ANONYMOUS out now, blackbear has plenty of new material to play for fans in a much more intimate-feeling setting this time around.
6/22 – The Trujillo Company @ Larimer Lounge
Denver rock and roll outfit, The Trujillo Company are gearing up to release their debut full-length album, HOME and will be celebrating with an album release show on the 22nd at Larimer Lounge! Making for a perfect show from start to finish, Valdez and False Report will be opening.
6/27 or 6/28 – Juice @ Fox Theatre or Larimer Lounge
Seven-piece band Juice are just about to kick off their “Whats Ur Genre” summer tour, and if you haven’t had the chance to witness their incredible live show yet, then you have not one but two opportunities to see them in Colorado later this month! Last year was a significant one for the band with the release of their latest project Workin’ on Lovin.‘ The project highlights the band’s diverse signature sound that covers an array of sensations with songs like “Sugar,” the soaring single that features airtight raps, radiant chorus harmonies, stomping handclaps, and gospel-style backing vocals.
