Denver based post-hardcore four-piece, Hellgrammites have returned today with their brand new single, “Escargot“. Arriving alongside a chaotic music video, the high energy track is the first taste of the band’s upcoming album, I Am Omega, out June 14th via Sailor Records.
Clocking in at just under two minutes in length, “Escargot” finds Hellgrammites showcasing their most experimental and explosive sound yet, and the music video serves as the perfect accompanying visual component. Directed by Jeffrey Riley of Noble Bison Productions, the clip is an ‘other worldly’ visual explosion utilizing innovative techniques.
Speaking on the song’s lyrical content, vocalist Erik Petersen explained, “The lyrics for ‘Escargot’ portray my intentions and desires for self improvement through sobriety. This theme is present in the lyrics for several of the tracks from the ‘I Am Omega’ LP.”
“Escargot” marks the beginning of an exciting year for Hellgrammites. To stay up to date, follow the band on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You can also check out our previous feature of the their single, “Mercury” HERE.
