What do you get when you cross hip hop wizard, a set of stoners and nine dudes in masks? The second leg of the Knotfest Roadshow, of course!
Last week at Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, hip-hop/punk rock group, Ho99o9 opened the night with A high intensity mash up that only they could pull off. Hailing from Newark New Jersey, these guys brought energy that can only be matched with the mosh pit that ensued to the set, which marked the perfect beginning to a high intensity night to come.
Following Ho99o9 were the absolute one of a kind Cypress Hill. With Sen Dog feeling under the weather for the Colorado stop of the tour, B-Real had to walk out and make sure the crown went absolutely insane in the brain! Mr. Green thumb himself puffed the crowd into a frenzy that couldn’t be contained which could only be followed up by the one and only Slipknot.
The main attraction, coming straight out of Iowa, were out for blood and ready to prove without a doubt that they aren’t going anywhere. With a set list that even the oldest OG fans appreciated, expectations were not only met, but exceeded all night as Slipknot pulled out all of the stops, complete with fire, explosions, metal and whiplash. Even if you’ve seen Slipknot dozens of times, the show was on that shouldn’t be missed, proving that they’re not going anywhere anytime soon.
