Prelude Press: You’ve already released a handful of new singles in 2022, including “Love Me Back” and “Hayya Hayya (Better Together)”. What has been the highlight of your year so far?
Trinidad Cardona: As great as it feels to see the success of love me back , the highlight of my year has to be going to Qatar, hands-down. It was my first time out of the country and the hospitality I got was unrivaled I’ll never forget the experience.
“Hayya Hayya (Better Together)” features Davido and Aisha. What were they both able to bring to the track? Did you learn anything from either of them when working together?
Davido and Aisha both brought their own personality onto the track, Davido being from Nigeria and Aisha from Qatar they were able to bring a different influence to the song It was fun shooting the video with them in Qatar.
You have the Spanish version out now! Can you tell us a little about that?
The Spanish version is something I wanted to do so everybody could enjoy the song in their own way, it’s a World Cup song and it would be wrong to do so without a Spanish version. I want everyone to feel included.
Now that it has been out for a bit and you’ve had some time to reflect on it, what are some of your favorite things about “Love Me Back”?
“love me back” is just me talking about all my experiences with relationships in a way you can dance to. It’s a fun record about my exes lol.
All of your new music serves as a bit of a teaser for future releases, including an album coming soon! When you’ve been working on your latest music, are there any goals you’ve had in mind? Anything you want to accomplish?
The only goal that have in mind is to make the best music anyone has ever heard, something everyone can enjoy, something that will change the face of pop music. I’m excited for everyone to hear this album.
How do you feel you’ve grown as an artist with these new songs?
I’ve taken the last two years to hone my craft And push myself to new limits, The growth is evident in the music quality and I think everyone will be able to see that immediately.
When can fans expect to hear some more new music?
I can’t say for sure but I can guarantee that new musical will be coming by the end of July!
