Can you tell us a little bit about The Banshee Pilot for any readers who may not be familiar?
We are an alternative rock band from metro Detroit that aims to create something different that will ignite the listener and relieve them of some of the burdens of everyday life.
I want to start by talking about your new EP, which dropped last October. What was the inspiration behind this release?
We wanted to find ourselves as artists and individuals and write music that’s true to ourselves. We strive to be our own favorite band.
What would you like listeners to be able to take away from the EP?
Some sort of inspiration to do what you love and not give up on it.
You guys also just released a music video for “If You Wanted Riches, Honey You Should’ve Married A Doctor.” Can you tell us a little bit about this track?
Riches was one of the first songs written for the EP and it is about relationship issues that almost everyone can relate to.
The music video for this song was amazing! It’s really big and theatrical. Where did the concept behind the video come from?
There’s a concept for the band as a whole. It is a dramatization of problems that people encounter in their everyday lives.
How was the filming of the video? It looked like it took quite a bit of time, energy and love.
It was hell…however it was an incredible learning experience that was a true test of passion and teamwork.
With the story that you tell in the video, would you ever consider continuing it with future music videos?
Yes, that is the plan!
On top of the release of the music video, do you have any other big plans or goals for 2016?
Yes, stick around and you’ll see!
