You guys are just gearing up to release your new album, Conversations in May! What are you most excited for listeners to hear on the album?
The new direction our music is going in. It’s the heaviest and most poppy album we’ve written yet.
It being your third full-length, was there anything you set out to accomplish on Conversations that you haven’t done in the past?
We wanted to be able to spend a lot more time experimenting with sounds and capturing great takes while in the studio. On past albums the songs were written prior to recording, but we would still write and produce parts in the studio. This time around we demoed everything out in full before hitting the studio, so that we could focus on the performance and sounds.
Were there any themes or subjects that you wanted to touch on in these songs?
Conversations with ourselves from different time periods.
How do you feel you’ve grown between Who Rescued Who and Conversations?
1 to 6”
What were some of the biggest challenges you faced while working on the album?
We didn’t have many problems, but we probably will in the future from all the fast food.
What were some of the most exciting or most rewarding moments?
Getting the masters back from Kris Crummett and hearing the record straight down.
With Conversations dropping this month, you’re playing a hometown release show on the 20th. What can fans look forward to at this show?
Our best live show to date and rock solid abs.
After that, you’re heading out on a short run in June. What are you most excited about on those upcoming dates?
Seeing how all the rooms have grown since the last tour.
Do you have any other big plans for 2017?
More tours to be announced and more singles to be released.
Thank you for taking the time to chat with us! Is there anything else you’d like to add?
2 + 2 = 4; Also Conversations is out everywhere May 19th!
