Allison Weiss has debuted a new song called “Take You Back” today with PasteMagazine.com. The track is featured on her upcoming, highly anticipated EP, Remember When, which is due out on July 22nd from No Sleep Records. “This is one of my favorites off Remember When,” says Weiss. “I’ve been dying to strip a song down and do it low-fi, and figured this would be the perfect moment to do it. The song is about the kind of toxic relationship that you keep going back to, even when you know it’s a bad idea. The ending is the best part.”
“Take You Back” is one of five astounding new tracks that blur the line between pop, rock and folk on her upcoming EPRemember When, which also includes her infectious single “Giving Up,” “Remember When,” “The Fall” and a cover of Robyn’s hit song “Call Your Girlfriend.”
Weiss will be performing an album release show at El Cid in Los Angeles on July 18th before joining the Vans Warped Tour onJuly 20th in Shakopee, MN.
