    K.Flay Announces Fall Tour Dates

    By Dom VigilAugust 4, 2014

August 4, 2014 – Los Angeles, CA – Bay Area indie hip-hop artist K.Flay has announced a U.S. tour that will kick off in September and will run through the beginning of November. Touring in support of her recently released, critically heralded debut full-length record, Life As A Dog, K.Flay will kick off the fall tour with “School Night” performances in Los Angeles at Bardot on August 18th and in New York at Brooklyn Bowl on August 25th. Check local box offices for on-sale dates.

Alternative indie hip-hop’s hottest rising female artist K.Flay wrapped up a summer-long run with the Vans Warped Tour yesterday with an incredible amount of momentum from her recent release of her new album Life As A Dog. The performer was a standout among her peers and one of the only hip-hop artists featured on the traveling festival, which is predominantly known for its punk rock roots. Along the way, K.Flay amassed an entirely new audience of fans which helped her record debut on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart at #2 and #14 Rap Album Chart.

Over the past several years, K.Flay, AKA Kristine Flaherty, has charmed fans and critics with her unique style and fusion of indie pop and hip-hop.  Her inimitable brand of music has crisscrossed genres from hip-hop and indie-rock to punk and pop, garnering her a cross-section of fans along the way and the ability to perform alongside an array of musicians and bands.

K.Flays latest release, Life As A Dog, is a collection of personal songs, like “Make Me Fade” “Bad Things” and “Thicker Than Dust,” with mesmerizing beats and honest lyrics that showcase an artist that’s found her voice and isn’t afraid to step outside the lines of conventional hip-hop.

“Nowhere in Life as a Dog will you be able to find and idea or theme that was overused or mishandled, and at times, it feels like K.Flay is drawing from an endless well of prose and poetry as she crams songs like “Fever” and “I’m Good” with a complexity and eloquence that will put most other MCs with similar aspirations to shame.” – Hillydilly.com

K.Flay’s Life As A Dog is available to stream at Spotify and for purchase now at iTunes.
