After its long awaited release, Arizona’s The Maine are excited to present their brand new music video for “Run”, the third track off their 2013 full length Forever Halloween. The album was re-released just a few short months ago in deluxe edition which included five brand new songs. “Run” marks the third music video to come from this album – following up to “These Four Words” and “Love & Drugs”, both released last year. “These Four Words”, the emotionally driven piano ballad, launched in video form on album release day and was shot entirely in one take. The second music video followed that fall with the dramatic feel of a feature film.
When talks began of the third video, choosing a director was an obvious choice for the band. Recruiting the help of “Love & Drugs” director Daniel Gomes, the band wanted to capture the emotions of the song where it translates best; in performance form. The song, along with the rest of Forever Halloween was recorded live to analog tape in the studio for its initial release. It only made sense to have the music video that will ultimately close out the album cycle feature the band performing it live. The energy expressed in the “Run” is what perhaps makes it such a standout on the album to both media reviewers and fans alike. It was this energy that the band chose to harvest to kick off their set this summer on the Vans Warped Tour – “Run” opened their daily setlist.
The band is wrapping up their 2014 with one final festival appearance, followed by a headlining return trip to the UK and finally with four US headline dates (two of which have already sold out) to say a proper farewell to their album before heading into the studio to start on their fifth full length record.
