RISE AGAINST will join LINKIN PARK on The Hunting Party Tour which kicks off January 15, 2015 in Orlando, FL, circling around the eastern half of the U.S. and Canada. “After crossing paths with these guys at festivals around the world over the past decade, we’re excited to finally share the road with Linkin Park,” said Rise Against lead vocalist and guitarist Tim McIlrath. “We think this will be a great experience for all our collective fans.” Of Mice and Men will support and tickets go on sale November 7th at www.ticketmaster.com (see below for tour dates). Rise Against are currently in the midst of a European headline tour and following the tour with Linkin Park will join FOO FIGHTERS on their tour of Australia and New Zealand.
Following the Top 10 Alternative and Active Rock success of first single “I Don’t Want to Be Here Anymore,” Rise Against’s second single “Tragedy + Time” “pits emotional loneliness against one of the band’s most catchy, anthemic choruses” (Alternative Press), telling of the journey from a bad place to a good place, from the dark to the light. The video for “Tragedy + Time” plays with this concept of light in an emotional context. From the band’’s performance, to the glimpses of the girl from the cover of THE BLACK MARKET, the video travels from the shadows to somewhere brighter. The “Tragedy + Time” video was directed by Wes Kandel & Casey Hupke and premieres on VEVO today. Click HERE to view.
After a hugely successful fall World Tour, the Chicago-based band has been coming off the record-breaking launch of their sixth album THE BLACK MARKET which was released via Interscope Records in July. Debuting at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart in the US, the album also debuted at #1 in Germany, Australia and Canada where it has already achieved gold status. Selling a total of over 5.8 million across their catalog, Rise Against has proven time and again that they continue to be one of the most successful, challenging and revered punk bands on the planet.
