The Luck ave released the latest installment of their “Live from Dave’s Room” sessions. “Holding On” represents one of the many emotional peaks of the session, and is a perfect example of the duo’s warm and rich dual vocal exchange. The video made its debut on Examiner Los Angeles this week, reviewers praising the the group for their “magical familial harmonies.” The video can be seen here.
The Luck recently spoke about the meaning behind “Holding On” :
“It was written in Notting Hill, before we made the move to the U.S. It’s a song about trying to help someone you love when they are going through a difficult time – when you just want to make them feel better and take all the pain away. It was actually the voice of our mother, “watching over” Esmay in the aftermath of a breakup with her boyfriend.”
