JOHN NOLAN today releases his second solo album, Sad Strange Beautiful Dream. Written and recorded over the past two years, the 10-track album was recorded live in Long Island, New York with producerMike Sapone (Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Straylight Run) at the helm.
Nolan says, “It’s not quite like anything I’ve ever done before. I really wanted to put together a solo album sooner than this and I’ve had other windows of opportunity, but this time the songs luckily started coming together and all the pieces started falling into place. I’m so excited for everyone to hear it.”
Nolan independently raised the funds needed for the recording through a PledgeMusic campaign, while partnering with NY indie label Collective Confusion to market and distribute the release. A portion of the proceeds will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Nolan will kick off a newly announced string of east and west coast dates later this summer starting in Philadelphia on August 19th. The tour takes him as far south at Chapel Hill, North Carolina before jetting west for a string of dates that begin in Phoenix, Arizona on August 26th and currently wrap up in Vancouver on September 3rd.
