Cardinals Pride Signs With New Damage; New EP “Those People Will Never Die” Out Sept 4th

    By Dom VigilAugust 4, 2015

Canadian metalcore six-piece Cardinals Pride has inked a deal with New Damage Records to release a new EP titledThose People Will Never Die on September 4th. In anticipation, the band has partnered with RevolverMag.com to premiere the new song, “Refracted.” Pre-orders for the new record will be available on Friday at http://newdamagerecords.myshopify.com/.

    Stream “Refracted”  Below:

“Refracted is one of the heaviest song we’ve ever written,” singer Alexis Paré tells RevovlerMag.com. “We wanted that song to sound like a ton of bricks from start to finish without a break and I think we’ve achieved our goal. We chose to release “Refracted” first because we felt like it shows what a typical Cardinals Pride song offers. Talking lyrics, “Refracted” is basically about being uncomfortable with the vision other people may have of your own future.”

Cardinals Pride got their start in Quebec City in 2010 and a few years later debuted their first EP, Priorities. Since then the band has performed over a hundred shows and built a name for themselves as one of Canada’s best new metalcore acts along the way. Their latest EP, Those People Will Never Die, was recorded with Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland at Atrium Audio in Lancaster, PA and will be their first release with New Damage Records.

“We are beyond excited to join the New Damage Records family,” Paré adds. “They are incredibly hardworking people and it feels good to have the support of such a great team. Also, their roster is filled with amazing bands and it’s a nice feeling to see our name next to theirs. We are looking forward to see where this partnership will lead us.”

Fans can catch the band live at select dates this fall. Follow the at https://www.facebook.com/cardinalspride for additional updates.
