    Kevin Devine And Tigers Jaw Announce “Devinyl Splits No. 3”

    Kevin Devine has announced Devinyl Splits No. 3, the third split in his year-long Devinyl Splits series. Devinyl Splits No. 3 features Kevin Devine and Tigers Jaw covering songs byThe Cure. Tigers Jaw puts their distinct sound into “In Between Days,” while Kevin Devine delivers an emotional acoustic cover of “Love Song.” Pre-orders for the split go liveTuesday, August 11th, 2015.     The Devinyl Split series features Kevin Devine teaming up with six different artists throughout 2015. Every other month, Devine releases a 7” split with a song from him and a song from the other artist. The first two splits in the series have already been released. In January, Kevin Devine and Matthew Caws of Nada Surf covered each other’s songs onDevinyl Splits No. 1, Matthew covering Kevin’s “Fiscal Cliff” and Kevin doing a take on Nada Surf’s “Inside Of Love.” In May, Meredith Graves of Perfect Pussy released her first solo track “Took The Ghost To The Movies” through Devinyl Splits No. 2, while Kevin put forward a heartbreaking “Gießen,” a tribute to his old friend and bandmate Mike Skinner, who passed away in 2014.
