SHANEE PINK has unveiled a new single entitled “Brutal Heart,” which is to be featured on her forthcoming EP Twin Flame, due out on August 28th. PopMatters.com refers to the track as “sunny” and “adventurous.” Shanee’s sound alternates between folk and electronic pop, with a clear foray into classic rock as well.
Currently nestled in Los Angeles, the half-American and half-Israeli artist is, in her own words, “trying to make LA feel like a small town.” Shanee curates a monthly music night known as The Laurel Canyon Music Revival, where she and fellow artists gather to share their latest creations in a salon-like setting. Over the years Laurel Canyon has seen many musical scenes, notably from psychedelic rock to mellow folk. Now, there is a scene blending Laurel Canyon’s soulful history with a modern approach. Shanee has taken it upon herself to recreate that sense of community amongst local musicians and artists while simultaneously putting out her own music.
