New York native DJ duo, The Chainsmokers (aka: Drew Taggart and Alex Pall), are excited to announce that they will be kicking off their highly anticipated Friend Zone Tour exclusively via Billboard. The massive 30+ city tour kicks off on October 23rd in Nashville at Marathon Music Works and will feature over 30 of their friends they’re bringing with themthat will include Autograf, Matoma, Slander, Ansolo,Loudpvck, and SNBRN. Drew + Alex will also be bringing their epic Full Monte visual set on the road (they unveiled it exclusively at Firefly earlier this year) creating a live set up like you’ve never seen from them before. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 AM local time. Please see full tour routing below!
The originality of the Friend Zone Tour is nothing new to The Chainsmokers – instead of a traditional album release the guys have been spontaneously dropping a new single every month and will continue to do so throughout the year with no signs of slowing down any time soon. They recently debuted their collaboration, “Only You”, with Tiesto at Ultra Europe earlier this month, and the track follows past releases, “Good Intentions,” “Roses,” and “Waterbed,” which have all been highly praised by fans and critics alike. Specifically, “Roses” has grown to become a fan favorite with Stereogum proclaiming “It’s becoming increasingly apparent that “#SELFIE” was just a way for these guys to get their foot in the door. ‘Roses’ is the futuristic synthpop of my dreams.” With close to 2 million plays on SoundCloud and counting since it’s release, the single hit #1 on Hype Machine’s Most Popular Chart, #2 oniTunes Electronic Chart, and made it to top 10 on Spotify’s Global Viral Chart.
The Chainsmokers have had impressive performances on the summer festival circuit with headlining slots at Firefly, Ultra Europe, Lollapalooza etc. and are excited for another upcoming performance at the Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival the weekend of August 22nd.
