GRAMMY-nominated, alternative rock band MUTEMATH are excited to debut their new single, “Monument,“ worldwide TODAY via Beats 1. The song serves as the first release off of their highly anticipated new studio album, VITALS, setting the tone for the new direction the group is taking on this forthcoming release. Citing bands like Steely Dan and The Police as a source of inspiration, the result is a raw, electro-pop track with shimmering synth beats that will make you want to get up and groove.
“A monument usually signifies a memorialization for what is no more,” says lead vocalist and primary songwriter Paul Meany. “This song is about taking control of the moments we still have, while we still have them together. The threat of an ending is nothing to be afraid of, but something that can be turned into beauty and serve as a vibrant means to keep moving forward.”
VITALS will be released later this yearin conjunction with a fall tour that is completely sold out. The series of dates kicks off on September 16th in Minneapolis and run through the fall (full routing below). Stay tuned for more exciting announcements in the coming weeks!
