Positive No’s second single “Weird Hugs” from their debut album Glossaexplores the awkwardness that can happen between close friends or lovers who split up but cross paths years later only to discover there is no reignited spark. Instead, their reconnection feels more like two wet sticks being bumped together. No smoke, no fire, just stiff ick. Positive No are excited to share “Weird Hugs” with Brooklyn Vegan.
Speaking to the band’s pedigree, the site offered, “They [Positive No] teamed up with another ’90s post-hardcore vet, J. Robbins, to produce their debut full length, Glossa, and going by the couple tracks we’ve heard it certainly sounds like the work of ’90s-era musicians.”
