Self proclaimed “millennial rockers” The Drama State are gearing up to make a name for themselves with their upcoming sophomore full-length album. The Midwest quintet pressed ‘The Quiet Life’ – a 3-song summer sampler – which they shared with fans along the 2015 Vans Warped Tour. Today marks the official release of the second track from that sampler, “Pool House Envy,” which features AJ Perdomo (ex-The Dangerous Summer). “‘Pool House Envy’ was inspired by something everyone experiences – their first love,” says vocalist Ryan Diskey. “In my experience it didn’t end badly really it was just something that needed to happen. The line ‘you never caught on to it when I said…’ explains the entire situation the song was written about. I never said ‘I love you’ directly but the actions and the feelings were definitely there. It’s about loving and letting go and that being okay.”
