Bostonian singer/songwriter, Josh Friedman, has been bringing a soulful edge to synth-pop music. The artist, who performs under the monikerThatOneEyedKid, evokes an undeniable sincerity in his songs. Josh’s music resonates positivity, an attitude he cultivated as a teenager from battling and surviving cancer. This Boston University graduate began cultivating quite a following performing on campus and releasing beautiful piano covers of popular tunes on YouTube. Recently ThatOneEyedKid began preparing to release his sophomore EP, Always, which is due out September 18, 2015. Today he’s partnered with Under The Gun Review to unveil the third single off the project, “Siphon”. When asked about the inspiration behind the song Josh shared, “Siphon is about being in love with someone so much that you kind of lose yourself. It’s about pouring yourself out for someone to the point where maybe there’s nothing left of you. I think a lot of times when I care about someone so much it’s hard to remember to take care of yourself.”
