Ghost Town recorded “EVOLUTION” over six weeks in the spring of 2015 at Pulse Studios, inspired by their endless touring with artists like Issues, Black Veil Brides, One OK Rock, Falling In Reverse and Breathe Carolina. The world felt wider, suddenly, and Ghost Town wanted to bring in the life perspectives of all the fans they’d met along the way. “EVOLUTION” stands as a launching point for change, for an essential shift in the way we engage as a culture. It brings a message of possibility, of acceptance and of universal connection. For Ghost Town, “EVOLUTION” is actually a revolution. Opening track “Spark,” the album’s flagship single, sets the tone, urging listeners to open their eyes to the world and take action in their lives. Ghost Town vocalist Kevin Ghost comments, “no one ever teaches you about anxiety and how difficult it is for almost everyone that I know to stand up and be themselves. It’s probably a larger issue than drugs or ADHD. It takes effort and it takes courage to get out of bed in the morning, let alone be an individual. This record is a celebration of those people that have figured out a way to do it and it’s some hope for those that are trying… because believe me we were just like you.” The title track, a surging number that matches its lyrical fervor with equally grandiose instrumentals, encourages you to find your voice. The line “Break out of your bedroom walls” is fiery command that it’s time to step out of your comfort zone. The dynamic and charged tracks “Out Alive” and “Loner” FIND Ghost Town balancing raucous fervor with a soaring pop chorus, showcasing their range and potential for mainstream success.
Since their inception in the fall of 2012, Ghost Town – Kevin Ghost (vocals), Alix Koochaki (guitars) and MannYtheDrummeR (drums) – has built a vast network of Ghosts using social platforms and their official YouTube channel which has now amassed upwards of 20 Million views to release weekly updates and new tracks, each accompanied by their own unique artwork created by honorary 4th member artist Alister Dippner. Ghost Town’s first album, “Party In the Graveyard,” dropped in 2013, followed by their second, “The After Party” last year, each earning critical praise from outlets such as Alternative Press, Substream, Kerrang! and Rock Sound. Each album revealed an impassioned group of musicians with a lot to say and the talent with which to say it. “EVOLUTION” is the chapter that follows and is a vibrant call to arms, one with a message that is greater than its parts.
