Blake Britton, contributing writer for The Prelude Press and member of the Denver/Boulder band, On Repeat, will appear on Radio 1190‘s Lowland Apartments this Thursday (12/17) to promote the upcoming Locals Benefit concert. The Benefit, which takes place at Seventh Circle Music Collective on December 26th, was quickly announced following the tragic terrorist attacks in France, Beirut, and Baghdad last month. All proceeds will be donated to Red Cross for victim relief efforts in these areas and local acts The Velveteers, EMPRESS, Wax Lashes, Little Car, and The Ephinjis are also set to take the stage.
Britton hopes to discuss why supporting local acts is more vital than ever to the future of music and how the benefit concert came to be. The interview also marks On Repeat’s first public appearance since the release of their debut EP, The Mighty Unkind, in October. The Mighty Unkind is available for purchase through Bandcamp, and from now through December 27th, all proceeds from the EP will also be donated to Red Cross.
Lowland Apartments airs on Radio 1190, Thursdays at 8PM, MST. Stream The Mighty Unkind below:
