Colorado indie doo-wop rock band Whiskey Autumn has released a brand new music video for their latest single, “07.04.07”. The video features frontman Greg Laut reminiscing about a dreamlike 4th of July party interspersed with scenes of him writing a letter to his love of yesteryear. Surreal party sequences, including a hallucinatory fireworks celebration, are juxtaposed with scenes of Laut reflecting on better times in the solitude of a lonesome bar.
Whiskey Autumn came together through a mutual love of 1960’s pop and contemporary R&B. They have opened for acts such as Gregory Alan Isakov and Reed Foehl. With its hip hop beat and electronic flourishes, “07.04.07” expands upon the classic pop aesthetic of the band’s previous releases in what is their most confident work yet.
The video for “07.04.07” was filmed and directed by Ian Glass Media. The track is available for free download on Whiskey Autumn’s Bandcamp page.
