“I wanted to release this cover EP while I’m writing my first LP,” Bolles explains. “I had a lot of fun recording these songs for a couple days with my good friend (and the producer of my first EP Freshman), Jay Zubricky in my hometown, Buffalo.Manhattan is a series of covers that Jay and I recorded over the summer, with artwork by another friend of mine, Chelsea Beck. This EP sounds different from anything I’ve done before and from what I plan to do, so I hope people enjoy this departure from my original music.”
Known for his quirky style and honest delivery, Bolles’ release of Manhattan follows his 2015 acoustic EP, Freshman, which received acclaim from fans and has helped propel him to new heights in the indie music scene.
