Movements is excited to debut their new song and music video for “Kept”. The band teamed up with Alternative Press to premiere the video for this today, and the song will be available tomorrow on iTunes starting at 12/midnight EST.
The track is from the band’s debut EP Outgrown Things, which is set to release March 11th and is available for pre-order starting Friday, Jan 15th. “Kept” will be an instant download for all fans that pre-order the new album.
Lead singer Patrick Miranda explains, “Kept was written about my struggles with depression, anxiety, and self hate. I had never felt lower in my entire life than I did when this song was being written. I lacked self confidence and any sort of hope. I wanted nothing more than to have some sort of belief system or compass that I could turn to for support.”
Recorded with Will Yip (Anthony Green, Balance And Composure, Circa Survive)Movements brings a nostalgic yet refreshing touch to today’s post-hardcore / emo revival. Fronted by charismatic lead singer Patrick Miranda, Movements delivers honest and engaging lyrics driven by aggressive and melodic instrumentals from Spencer York (Drums), Austin Cressey (Bass), and Ira George (Guitar). This high-energy group is set to introduce themselves in 2016 with an extremely emotional debut EP.
