Jimkata Release “Wild Ride” And Expand Tour

    By Dom VigilJanuary 20, 2016

Ithaca electronic rock trio Jimkata will release In Motion on February 12and this week they’ve announced a slew of tour dates that will keep the band on the road through the spring. The dates were announced when the group debuted the pop-ear-worm “Wild Ride” this week at The Music Ninja, who said, “Calling on associations of both modern acts like St. Lucia and classic acts like Peter Gabriel, this tune builds in an anthemic fashion, boasting an iconic bassline, multiple layers of gorgeous synths, and set of lyrics that will have you singing along in no time.”

    Listen to “Wild Ride”:

    iTunes / Apple Music

    Soundcloud

In Motion is the band’s second fan-funded record through PledgeMusic, where the campaign is still open.

The band hit the road in February for over two months that will take them out to the Rockies and back. “We’re pretty high-energy on stage,” says Friedell. “We tour with a light show and improvise a lot. We’ve toured so much, and experienced every scenario, good or bad. So we know how to play live and create some energy.”
