The Commuters have premiered their brand new video “You’ll Stay Right Here” today via Pancakes & Whiskey, here: http://bit.ly/1Sqjf34. The song, which originally comes from the band’s debut album Rescue, has been remastered and will be featured on their forthcoming EP – to be released Spring 2016.
“You’ll Stay Right Here” was written by frontman Zeeshan Zaidi after a loved one was diagnosed with Lymphoma. The band has partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help raise awareness and will be donating all proceeds from the sales of the single on iTunes. On “You’ll Stay Right Here” and the new video which stars adorable dogs Bella and Max, Zaidi tells us: “I wrote ‘You’ll Stay Right Here’ when I learned someone close to me was diagnosed with Lymphoma. So I wanted the video to help spread the word about LLS and their amazing work.“
The video tells the story of two dogs who fall in love, get married, and then learn that one of them has cancer. Michele Przypyszny, executive director of the New York City chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphona Society, shares: “We are so excited to be working with The Commuters. ‘You’ll Stay Right Here’ is a beautiful song and tribute to a friend fighting for life. Telling the story of cancer through the unbreakable bond of pets is a wonderful way to show compassion, friendship and unconditional love and support – all of which is needed when you are diagnosed with cancer. LLS is lucky to be a part of such a wonderful moment.“
