Metric‘s 24-city U.S. headline tour kicks off February 12 with a sold-out show in Chicago and will be hitting Denver, CO on February 16th at the Fillmore Auditorium. Tickets for the Denver date are available now HERE.
Fans can also upgrade their tickets to include a backstage VIP experience with the band, who will chat with fans and lead an intimate acoustic sing-along before the show. Upgrades are available for purchase HERE.
Pagans in Vegas is Metric’s newest album, born out of a year spent writing—guitarist/producer Jimmy Shaw at his studio in Toronto delving into his wall of modular synthesizers and Emily Haines with acoustic instruments in Nicaragua and Spain. The new album is packed with reverent references to artists who’ve inspired them, from Depeche Mode, New Order, The Cure and Underworld, all the way back to Kraftwerk. “The songs that made it onto Pagans in Vegas weren’t written with an overarching concept in mind,” says Shaw. “With this record we were making music for the joy of it…we tried to be as bold as possible. All we want is to feel like all we got didn’t cost us everything, even if we never win.”
Metric recently released the music video for their track, “The Governess” which can be viewed below. Catch the band in Denver on February 16th and check out the full tour routing after the video!
