Brooklyn cosmic country-fried rock n’ rollers MARCO WITH LOVE have premiered their official music video for “Anything That’s Rock n’ Roll” – a modern day rendition of Tom Petty’s classic 1977 hit – directed by Curtis Wayne Millard. The video features singer/songwriter Marco Argiro (appearing in the upcoming HBO series Vinyl), actor Nils Lawton – better known as Gottfrid from Showtime’s Happyish – and up-and-coming actress Chelsea Sheets as Cherry Bomb, a Riff Randel meets Joan Jett hybrid character. The result is an energy-infused, high-flying rock n’ roll adventure reminiscent of early music videos from when MTV and the format were still very much in their infancy.
In addition to releasing their latest video, Marco With Love has announced the release of their new full-length album entitledSmothered & Covered, due out on April 1st via Outright Rock Records. The album comes on the heels of the band’s EPs Tidal Wave and Promised Land, both released in 2015.
“This album is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream to name a collection of songs after the Smothered and Covered hashbrowns at Waffle House,” explains vocalist, guitarist, & founder Marco Argiro. “All jokes aside, Smothered and Covered is meant to transport the audience back to a time when LPs included a mix of original songs as well as popular cover tracks.”
Fans can expect more new music & videos to be released in the coming weeks leading up to the album. For more information on Marco With Love, be sure to follow the band on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
