In anticipation of their forthcoming Honest Brutal Glorious EP, due out on March 25, Midnight Mob are releasing a new track through PureVolume. “Ghosts” perfectly captures the band’s tenacity through intense riffage complemented by deeply introspective lyrics that will have listeners banging their heads and thinking big all at once.
“Ghosts” is a combination of the conversations I had to have with my friends, band, family, and guy I was seeing when I was confronting some dark issues I was holding onto for years by getting sober, having a relationship with God and attempting celibacy. Everything I was doing was so foreign and I didn’t know who I’d become or who of the people in my life would still be there,” shares Blackey. “The song became about telling the truth and trying to do the right thing even if it hurts and people don’t understand. If you love someone or something you have to find out what’s true and be who you are.”
