From side project to primary mission, Rare Futures are forging a new sonic path through radical innovation. The experimental indie rock outfit fronted by multi-instrumentalist Matt Fazzi (ex Taking Back Sunday, Atlas Genius) has been working on their latest album for the better part of five years, and the time is finally right to share the project in full. “When I originally set out to make this record, I didn’t expect it would take quite so long but life happened and the plan unintentionally morphed and changed several times along the way,” explains Fazzi. “My intention is for This Is Your Brain On Love to be a reminder that we are responsible for writing the story of our own futures and creating our own happiness and there’s no time like the present to go out and seek it.”
Rare Futures is the embodiment of Fazzi’s knowledge from all previous experiences, and those various influences are inherent throughout the band’s latest genre-blending effort, This Is Your Brain On Love. The ambient and entrancing album is set to revitalize the music scene while resonating with both longtime fans and newcomers alike. Today, Rare Futures have teamed up with Diffuser to share this labor of love a full day ahead of its official release. Stream it here – http://diffuser.fm/exclusive-rare-futures-this-is-your-brain/
‘This is Your Brain on Love’ is an album inspired by searching for your soul purpose amidst the chaos and layers of life and the way we perceive and experience love. It’s meant to be a journey of reflection upon lessons learned from the past, living more in the present moment, and taking control of the fate of your future. It’s about recognizing your true passions and chasing after them.” – Matt Fazzi
