Brighton (UK) based rock act ARCHITECTS (UK) have premiered a new song “Gone With The Wind” on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show today. They also released a breathtaking video for the song, directed by Jeb Hardwick. Watch the video below!
“Gone With The Wind” is featured on the band’s forthcoming album, All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us, out May 27 on Epitaph.
For All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us, ARCHITECTS (UK) once again teamed up with Fredrik Nordstrom and Henrik Udd, previously helped realize the bands last album, ‘Lost Forever, Lost Together’.
Musically, ‘All Our Gods…’ is the work of a special band “leaving everything we had in the studio”, as vocalist Sam Carter explains, his vocal dexterity embodying a record that pairs uncompromising heaviness and with a melodic heartbeat. It is the heaviest and darkest work to which the band have ever put their name, both on and below its surface. It challenges and progresses a genre long thought to have stagnated, and embraces its inspirations at a time when many rock and metal bands seek to hide them in search of mainstream acceptance.
The worldwide anger and disillusion encapsulated on these 11 tracks, penned by principal songwriter Tom Searle, wrestles with contemplations of death, god and faith in search of some semblance of hope for a world increasingly consumed by fear, anger and confusion. This album isARCHITECTS (UK) statement of intent to the world, it is time to stand up, take notice and be counted.
ARCHITECTS (UK) will be playing the European festival circuit this summer, with plans to return to the US this year. Dates are soon to be announced. Fans can pre-order ‘All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us’ athttp://www.architectsofficial.com/.
