According to nomadic Indiepopper Brett Newski, winter sucks. But instead of hibernating through the next couple months, Newski has been making his way around the west coast for a celebratory Winter Sucks Tour, which wraps up in Denver at the Walnut Room on March 3rd.
Newski’s latest release, Land Air Sea Garage, was recorded at a surf camp in the Sri Lankan jungle (where it wasn’t uncommon for him to glance out the window of his hut and spot a komodo dragon foraging for its next meal) and at the equally exotic locale of Madison, Wisconsin. The record was produced by Brett Newski and his tour manager/compatriot The Danimal except “Mind At Large” which was produced by Victor Delorenzo of Violent Femmes.
