Michael Blume has shared his new track, “I Am Not A Trend (No Rules)” the first song to be released from his upcoming EP out Fall 2017. A celebration of individuality and self-love, “I Am Not A Trend (No Rules)” features lyrics drawn from his own life experiences and illustrates his musical journey as a recording artist on the rise. Following a busy summer playing Governor’s Ball and Firefly, Michael Blume will soon be performing at Lollapalooza in August! He was also just featured on GQ’s Snapchat Discover story for Pride Month and walked the red carpet at the Village Voice Pride Awards in NYC.
Beyond his music, Blume is also an advocate for social justice, especially LGBTQ rights and recently talked with ABC about his song “How High,” which discusses how he is still trying to ‘catch up on love,’ because growing up as a gay man he didn’t feel he had the same opportunities as his straight peers when it came to relationships.
