DAVIS, the Southern California-raised rocker who combines heavy guitar riffs with gritty vocals has released the music video for his latest track, “Los Angeles.” On the track and the city that inspired it, DAVIS shares, “The concept of the video was, like the song, to emphasize the darker side of Los Angeles, behind the beauty and the smoke and mirrors. The video and the song aren’t just a critique of Los Angeles, they’re meant to highlight the city’s enigmatic quality. I love the city because I hate it. I hate the city because I love it.”
On the video, directed by Haley Reed, DAVIS shares, “It’s a Grimm fairytale set in a gritty, Scorsese version of LA. We used the lyrics from the song to give it a storybook quality. Each scene you watch is like turning a page in an old fairytale.”
