Presented by 89.9 KCRW, the colossal two-day, music, food and art festival (ranked #5 on Paste Magazine’s list of the best music festival lineups of 2017 and #11 on British Airways/High Life Magazine’s list of 30 reasons to love the USA) will take over Downtown Long Beach’s beautiful waterfront Marina Green Park the weekend of September 30-October 1, 2017, with influential alt-rock trailblazers Ween and Sleater-Kinney headlining Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

With an amplified focus on their culinary program food this year, Music Tastes Good’s new “Taste Tent” will assemble some of the top chefs from both Southern California and the Bayou, for what organizers are calling, a “Port-to-Port” experience, a cultural exchange of flavors and ideas between Long Beach, New Orleans, and their surrounding communities.
Culinary rockstars in their own right, the lineup of acclaimed and award-winning chefs taking part in Music Tastes Good this year includes: Lafayette, LA’s Collin Cormier Pop’s Poboys and New Orleans’ Kelly Fields Willa Jean, Isaac Toups Toups Meatery, Mason Hereford – Turkey & The Wolf (named Bon Appetit Magazine’s ‘Best New Restaurant in America’ for 2017), Melissa Martin Mosquito Supper Club, Michael Gulotta MayPop and Alfredo Nogueria Cafe Henri, as well as Long Beach, CA’s Arthur Gonzales Roe, Dave MacLennan James Republic, Gus Sverkos – Kafe Neo, Khanh HoangCompany of Khanh, Luis Navarro Social List & Lola’s, Paul Buchanan Primal Alchemy and Philip Pretty – Restauration.
