Fort Collins based Bitter Suns have announced that their new single “Surfin’ with Scoob” will be released on October 31st.
“We figured halloween would be an appropriate excuse to release it,” says band member Riley Thompson. “It is a gimmicky, all instrumental surf track that is quite unlike the rest of our discography.” The track was recorded with Alan Hlavakec from the Fort Collins outfit, Attack on Venus.
The band has also described the track as inspired by Scooby Doo, Horror Surf, and elements of Doom Metal. This is single will also be the first in an upcoming series of new material from the band, aimed for release early next year.
Bitter Suns made their glorious debut last year with the excellent Electric Sunshine EP, produced by Oliver Mueller of Slow Caves fame. Listen to the five track release in full below and be sure to check out “Surfin’ With Scoob” when it drops on October 31st.
