The loss of a loved one, and the resulting grief and gratitude for a life that touched yours, can spread out for years. Now, Inara George is touching on that with her latest single “Young Adult,” a tender, uplifting homage to growing up and an articulation of the feelings her young mind couldn’t express in the wake of her father’s death (Lowell George of Little Feat) 38 years ago.
Heralding the release of her upcoming solo album Dearest Everybody out January 19, 2018 on Release Me Records, “Young Adult” showcases soaring melodies and airy vocals, beginning a story of navigating the rivers of emotion that run through families; exploring loss to find sorrow and, sometimes, joy – often blooming in the unlikeliest of places.
