Peter More and his bandmates have released their solid new single “In The Basement,” a track that has quite the development background story, as the recording process was spread throughout different locations and studios. “In The Basement” was conceived in San Miguel de Allende, MX and then hopped from Mexico to Texas, onto New York and then Woodstock. The single, as well as More’s entire upcoming album, were produced by Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen.
“While in Mexico, we met Donald Fagen (of Steely Dan) and his wife Libby Titus and began recording in San Miguel. It was inspiring watching Donald in the studio as he produced the record, playing keys throughout and mapping vocal harmonies. “In The Basement” is a song that we originally workshopped in Ft Worth, TX, and evolved into its current form as we played it live.” – Peter More
