A year after the most controversial election in the history of the United States, boisterous brass-rock band Stacked Like Pancakes have returned to take on Donald Trump with their brand new song, “45.” The animated video, which stars a comical yet all-too-real caricature of Trump can be seen now below. “45” was produced by multi-platinum producer Matt Squire (Panic! At The Disco, Ariana Grande, Meg & Dia, Simple Plan, All Time Low, Good Charlote, The Used, etc.), with illustration/animation by Zack White.
“On November 8th, 2016, a nation unified by a desire for change was dismantled by a delusional businessman in the Greatest marketing ploy in its history,” elucidates singer/songwriter Kellen McKay. “Featuring a cartoon realization of the 45th President of the United States, this song is a tribute to the true 45: vile, charismatic, and unqualified. The ongoing disparaging and hurtful rhetoric of the leader of the Free World is an implication of what we may not be. The quotations found in this song are facts – not fake; not alternative – casting a bright light in an effort to remove our current shadow in solidarity. His own words will live in infamy…whether he tweets it or not.“
