Fickle Friends have announced their highly-anticipated debut full-length album, You Are Someone Else.
The album, which flawlessly captures both the uncertainty and excitement of growing up as a millennial in modern times, is set to release on March 16th, 2018 via Interscope Record and will feature the band’s five previously-released bangers about addressing social awkwardness, self-doubt, anxiety and the qualms of growing into young adulthood. “Hello Hello,” “Hard To Be Myself,” “Swim,” “Glue” and “Brooklyn,” which will join a prism of eleven perfectly-timeless unreleased pop tracks to create the sixteen song full-length. “This album mostly talks about the feeling that like you don’t fit in your own life and are forever craving something else,” front woman Natti Shiner says, of writing the debut album. “I felt like I was stuck in a perpetual nightmare of bad relationships and worry for so long and this collection of songs kind of pulled me out of that. We wrote and produced the bulk of everything between Jack’s bedroom, the tour van and LA so it’s been mostly DIY with an array of producers allowing us to get that extra 20%. We always wanted to make a record that made people dance and think at the same time. If any of these songs help anyone feel cool, or strong or even just less alone then we’ll have achieved what we wanted.”
