Wild Child Release New Singles, “Sinking Ship” and “Back & Forth”

    By Dom VigilJanuary 9, 2018

Following a staggering seven original releases in 2019 alone on the likes of Kitsuné Musique and Boys Next Door, über-talented French-Polynesian singer and multi-instrumentalist Pastel now looks to kick off the new decade in the same emphatic fashion, as he unveils his impossibly smooth new single, ‘Let You’.

Austin’s Wild Child have shared two new singles from their forthcoming record, Expectations, out February 9th on Dualtone Records. The new songs, “Sinking Ship” and “Back & Forth” were produced by Max Frost and Delta Spirit’s Matthew Logan Vasquez respectively. Listen to both songs now below.

Kelsey Wilson describes solace found in a Shel Silverstein book and the use of a recorded heartbeat for “Sinking Ship”, and Alexander Beggins explores the pair’s creative process behind “Back & Forth”, for which they drew inspiration from songs by Nina Simone and Aretha Franklin (read more). T
